HUSKY HIKE

Forest

Our husky hikes - husky walks - take place in the landscapes of Finnish nature, such as Sipoonkorpi National Park.  Group size is 4-6  persons. The hikes available are 3 hours, about 5 km and include a break.

During the husky hike through the Finnish forest, our guide shares interesting facts about the local wildlife and forest ecosystem. We make stops at scenic viewpoints, and there is always time to take photos. Berries—such as blueberries—grow along the route, and we may spot animals or listen to the birds. Feel free to ask anything you like about our wonderful huskies. We take a break during the walk to enjoy Finnish refreshments and treats, and—of course—give the huskies some petting and snacks. 

We operate according to the principles of sustainable development and respect for nature. Animal welfare is our top priority, with due consideration given to the weather and other conditions.

Town

During the town husky hike, we explore the history of the beautiful old town of Porvoo, and also have a glimpse of the modern Finnish lifestyle which is still very close to the nature, with the beautiful parks and water areas. We might stop to taste special Finnish ice cream - maybe seasoned with spruce tips! And again, of course, we stop to pamper the huskies as well.

Town husky hikes in the historical centre of Porvoo are available for group sizes of 2-4 persons. The hike is about 2 hours and includes a break.

Equipment

The special equipment, such as, the belt where the husky is attached, is of course provided by us. The customer should have proper shoes for a nice walk. 

Husky hikes are organized during summer season especially, but also during the other seasons. When the temperature rises very high during a summer day, the huskies have holidays! Thus, warm weather can affect the availability of the hikes.

We implement the principles of sustainable development in our operations and respect nature. Animal welfare is a priority, taking into account the effects of weather and all other conditions.

HUSKY RIDE

We organise customized husky rides during autumn, winter and spring, subjected to weather conditions. Please ask for more details - or maybe you are organizing a happening, where you wish to offer husky rides to your guests. 

We offer the rides by sled or by cart. The sled is used during winter and the cart during snow-free seasons. Because of safety, our staff drives the sled or the cart, and the customer enjoys the ride. 

During high humidity and/or temperature (above 10-15 degrees Celcius) we offer the husky hikes only.
